The curse of the skies

The curse of the skies

The pearl rested on my cheek

I looked up to see those charming eyes

The dew on the lushly green grass

The chase of the flies over the flowers

Everything stopped in that moment

The first tear that fell for me

As I kept my head in his lap for the last time

We knew this was the end

But still love blossomed as life shortened

The body was turning pale

I had to leave him here, alone

He bowed down to listen to my heart

For he claimed my last breath

We both lied there, both lifeless

But one had to live and one had to die
